Why Choose Encore Dentistry for ClearCorrect?

How ClearCorrect Works

ClearCorrect aligners shift your teeth little by little. Every few weeks, you change to a new aligner, making the process less disruptive than traditional braces. While traditional braces often restrict what you can eat, with ClearCorrect, no foods are off limits. Experience the freedom and ease of ClearCorrect as an orthodontic alternative for straighter teeth and improved bite.

Who ClearCorrect Can Help

Fortunately, ClearCorrect is ideal for a wide variety of patients, including those dealing with overcrowded teeth, gapped teeth, and bite problems. Here’s a little more information on each:

Crowded Teeth

Whether your front teeth overlap or you’re dealing with considerable crowding throughout your smile, it’s worth scheduling an appointment with our Arlington dental team so we can determine if ClearCorrect can discreetly improve the alignment of your teeth. If you are a candidate for this orthodontic treatment, then we will get to work on creating your custom treatment plan so you achieve the results you desire as quickly as possible.

Gaps Between Teeth

Gapped teeth are another orthodontic concern because they negatively impact the look and function of your smile as well as your oral health. After all, it’s very easy for food particles and other debris to get trapped in the spaces, increasing your risk of tooth decay. The good news is that ClearCorrect has proven to be reliable when it comes to addressing spaced-out teeth. So, don’t hesitate to schedule a consultation with us to see if you’re a candidate!

Bite Alignment

There are four common bite problems: overbites, underbites, crossbites, and open bites. In both mild and severe cases, these can make it difficult to smile confidently, chew without pain, and speak clearly. That’s why we encourage patients to find out if they are a candidate for ClearCorrect sooner rather than later!

ClearCorrect FAQs

Who is Not Eligible for ClearCorrect?

We mentioned above who ClearCorrect can help, but is there anyone who isn’t a candidate? In short, the answer is “yes.” One example is if the patient has a more severe case of malocclusion. This often requires traditional braces – at least initially. Another example is patients who smoke and are unwilling to quit. Of course, there are other things we need to consider, which is why the very first step is always the consultation. At this appointment, we can learn all about your dental history, the orthodontic problems you’re struggling with, and your smile goals in order to determine if ClearCorrect is right for you.

Does ClearCorrect Hurt?

It’s very common for patients to experience some soreness as their teeth begin to move, especially at the beginning of their teeth-straightening journey. The good news is that this sensation is proof that your aligners are working! Plus, you can alleviate any discomfort that arises with a few simple steps, like sipping on cool water, sticking to soft foods, and taking OTC pain medication as directed.

What if My ClearCorrect Aligners Broke?

Whether there is a hairline crack on one of your aligners or they have split into multiple pieces, the first step is the same: call our Arlington dental team. From there, we can learn more about your situation and determine what to do next. In some cases, we instruct patients to move onto their next set of aligners in the series a day or two early. In other cases, we ask them to wear their previous pair while replacements are made.

Note: You should NOT use super glue or any other household adhesive to try and repair your ClearCorrect aligners. Not only is this a short-term solution at best, but the toxins they contain can negatively impact your oral and overall health.

Can You Eat with ClearCorrect?

Since ClearCorrect aligners are removable, there aren’t any dietary restrictions! That said, we do recommend adopting a few habits when it comes to mealtimes. The first is rinsing your aligners with clean, cool water and storing them in their case, not a napkin. The second is eating lots of nutrient-dense foods to help keep your teeth and gums healthy. The third is exercising caution with extremely crunchy foods, like hard pretzels, to avoid a tooth chipping or an attachment breaking.

How Long Does ClearCorrect Take?

Most of the time, treatment plans are between 12 and 18 months. That said, there are some exceptions. For example, if your case is relatively minor, you may achieve the results you desire in six months. Conversely, if you adopt some not-so-great habits, like not wearing your aligners for 20-22 hours a day, then you might experience significant treatment plan delays.
